Cafe Zestt is a charming local cafe nestled in the heart of Crookwell, NSW, delivering a warm and inviting dining experience that perfectly complements the crisp country air. This cozy spot is celebrated for its hearty, comfort food and genuinely attentive service, creating a refuge for both locals and weary travelers alike.
The menu at Cafe Zestt boasts a variety of satisfying choices with a particular highlight on their open melts, delicious salt and pepper squid, and generous breakfast plates. Whether you're warming up after a cold ride or just stopping by for a relaxed meal, the blend of fresh, well-prepared dishes and the crackling wood fire inside crafts an atmosphere that’s both uplifting and soothing. The salt and pepper squid, crispy on the outside yet tender inside, paired with fresh chips and salad, stands out as a crowd favorite — a testament to the cafe’s dedication to quality and flavor.
Many patrons, like Denise Bant, have raved about the deliciousness of their open melts paired with the staff’s attentive service. Phil O’Brien’s story vividly captures the cafe’s heartwarming hospitality when he and his companions arrived frozen from a snowy motorbike ride, only to be immediately welcomed with warmth and generous care. It’s not just about the food here; it’s about the feeling of community and genuine kindness that pervades every visit.
Cafe Zestt balances robust flavors with thoughtful touches — gluten-free options like the BLT on gluten-free bread receive high praise, and the coffee, while differing in taste among some guests, typically hits the spot with its inviting warmth and well-crafted blend. Todd Wright’s recommendation to drop in during cooler days is a sentiment echoed by many who have found comfort in the blazing wood fire and flawlessly toasted sandwiches.
Beyond the food, the cafe embraces a pet-friendly policy that adds a welcoming vibe for visitors with furry companions. Water bowls and secure chains make pets feel right at home, enriching that sense of inclusivity and warmth. The friendly, cheerful ambiance is palpable, as Eddy Furlong observes, making each gathering at Cafe Zestt not just a meal but a joyous, communal experience.
Whether you are passing through Crookwell or a local craving a satisfying bite in a friendly setting, Cafe Zestt offers more than just food — it serves up genuine hospitality wrapped in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the comforting crackle of a wood fire. This is a place where you can savor every bite and feel lifted by the kindness that fills the room.

We showed up as three frozen motorcyclists in the snow. They immediately stoked the fire and offered to help us dry our gear. We then had a great breakfast and hot coffee. They were the best. Highly recommend.

Burger was good, fries a little dry. I got their special which was salt n pepper squid with chips and salad, was take away, they gave us our meals, when I went to eat it there was no fork for the salad. Squid was good. Wood fire burning inside on a cold day was very nice

Great team running a great cafe in Crookwell. Went in on a cold day and the fire was raging which made it toastier than their toasties which were also great. Recommend dropping in for a bite when you’re in town.

I just finished a plate of hot poached eggs on gram bread. The lady came as I was working through it and checked that it was to my liking. The coffee was hot and done to perfection. But my parting comments were about the lovely vibe of the place. Everyone seemed cheery and it had infected the patrons as well. Nothing overwhelming but a comfortable happy vibe. The Monday morning breakfast experience was wonderful.

Great little local cafe with delicious meals and friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the Salt & Pepper Squid/Calamari several times here and would definitely recommend it. Pet friendly our the front with water bowls and chains to make your pet feel comfortable.

Popular place for locals and travellers. We stopped here to get lunch on our way home after Christmas. The staff were friendly and they had a good range on the menu. I had BLT which they made on gluten free bread. It was delicious.

Extremely great place. Would definitely recommend it if you live near Goulburn. The coffee wasn't as good as other services, as the beans they use are not tasty for me, but for others it could be great but the mix of coffee and water was absolutely correct. The juice is also relatively cheap, and the $2 scone with cream was majestic. Once again, highly recommend for outstanding and quick service paired with cheapness.
